The most
meaningful moments of life occur, literally, in the blink of an eye. For a
fraction of time those moments are seen, then lost, as they become nothing
more than faint, fuzzy images stored in our memory. The challenge to the
photographer is to use his skills of anticipation and recognition, coupled
with his technical prowess, to capture those fleeting moments when action is
at it's apex, when emotions are at their extreme, when process and progress
reach their peak. No matter how mundane or exciting an event may be, there
are always those swiftly passing occasions that must be recorded. Success
comes when that moment is seized in a concrete image for our eye to view and
our mind to appreciate; rather than having to rely on those abstract
